We have partnered with New Balance on an ongoing retail collaboration with Kith WeHo, developing a series of regular activations for the store.
Across an eight-month programme, our role is to create concepts and spatial designs for eight distinct stories, helping New Balance show up within Kith’s retail environment in a way that feels considered, premium and responsive to each moment.
The work combines creative direction, spatial design, visualisation and production thinking, supported by a site visit to LA and a structured review process that helps keep each activation moving smoothly from concept to delivery.
Our first design is heavily focused on the iconic 990 silhouette, paired with a “Made in USA” narrative. We chose to celebrate the pride that comes from great craftsmanship and attention to detail, utilising a mid-century modern aesthetic with a cinematic tone of voice to give a sense of elevation and authority to the space - two vitrines located at the entrance to the store.
A permanent archive gallery wall feature celebrates New Balance's brand history and its collaboration with Kith. This is built around a wide range of archival items varying from sketches and 3D models to pattern pieces and iconic photography that all help communicate the rich heritage that New Balance brings to the space.
