The Cooling Station
For Coldest in the Game, we partnered with the Jordan Greater China team to develop a spatial retail concept for their Winter collection, featuring Realtree camo apparel and the Trunner O/S.
While the Global campaign — fronted by Zeb Powell and anchored by an icy truck visual — was already in motion, our role was to translate the core idea into a locally resonant retail experience rooted in Chinese culture and talent.
Centred on rapper and singer Jackson Wang, the concept evolved into The Cooling Station: a playful interpretation of cooler temperatures and cold Jordan style. The spatial concept borrows cues from action-sports booths and news kiosks and reframes them as an abstract, sculptural environment with a confident, irreverent attitude.
In Shanghai an oversized, abstracted fridge acted as the anchor with the hero jacket kept on ice, flanked by a photo gallery of Jackson Wang and supported by key head-to-toe mannequin looks on icy plinths continuing the materiality throughout the space.
Frozen product drawers, iced-out finishes and kinetic details reinforce the idea of cold as both a physical and cultural statement.
Abstract cooling elements, frost effects, texturised steel surfaces and blue lighting were used to continue the campaign’s storytelling in store.
Integrated speakers and hand-finished graffiti moments reference Jackson Wang’s pop-star energy, grounding the experience in contemporary culture.
The concept was executed at Jordan flagships in Chengdu (seen above) and Shanghai, with further adaptations across stores throughout China.
The result was a retail landscape that elevated functional winter products through attitude, energy and unmistakable Jordan DNA.
